Through the Dubai 10X initiative, Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) have successfully developed the “Dubai Sports Gate” initiative; an interactive platform that provides a comprehensive guide to all Dubai sporting events suited to all community members
The initiative is part of 26 initiatives submitted by 24 government agencies in Dubai, which was approved by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF). A panel of experts receive and evaluate more than 160 ideas to participate in the initiative from 36 destinations in less than 365 days.
H.E. Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, said: “The sports scene in Dubai is particularly active with the emirate attracting international competitions, tournaments and events in this field. The gate will provide a platform to improve the awareness of the community about the most important events, Sports and physical activity as part of their daily lifestyle. “
“The Dubai Sports Gate will provide all the information needed by the visitors in an easy way for the reader through a single platform that meets the needs of sports enthusiast and practitioners. It will be a reliable platform that provides all the information related to sports in Dubai, Organized sporting events and international sports organizations. “
“The implementation of the project will take 18-24 months, during which information will be disseminated in stages, each stage will focus on a specific aspect and the Dubai Sports Gate will provide detailed and up-to-date information to athletes, the available activities and events, as well as the list of companies specialized in the retail trade of sports equipment.
“The launch of the gate is an embodiment of our keenness in the Dubai Sports Council to develop the sports work system and its mechanisms with its various components of renewable institutions and activities, and strive to find innovative solutions to reach the largest possible number of people interested in sport and make it a lifestyle. “We will work with our public and private partners to bring a radical change in work systems and mechanisms, move to a future business system to deliver and develop the best services, motivate government agencies to adopt innovation as a business approach and a permanent method of excellence.
